Morgan was wary of Aymeric upon their first meeting, unsure of his intentions for wanting to meet with him. He initially assisted the lord commander out of duty as a member of the Scions. Day by day as the Dragonsong war raged on, Morgan continued to help in whatever fashion he could while working with Aymeric, and subsequently spent much time getting to know the Elezen. What he thought was a cold and calculating Lord Commander of the Temple Knights turned out to not only be a noble and stalwart comrade, but also a rather charming individual. As time went on, Morgan's fondness only continued to grow until he eventually fell for him.As the war came to a close, Ishgard took its first careful steps towards a brighter future with Aymeric at its helm. Unsure of whether his feelings would be reciprocated, Morgan withheld his feelings for Aymeric, thinking it would only prove a distraction for the Lord Commander during such a delicate time in Ishagard's history—only to be proven wrong when said man also felt the same about him (to no one's surprise). In hindsight, perhaps Morgan should have anticipated it; the Lord Commander never did shy away from showing his interest in him, even from the beginning.Aymeric on the other hand never truly hid his interest in Morgan, although it teetered more on curiosity and fascination at the start. Following Morgan's deeds as the Warrior of Light, he sought the aid of one such individual with formidable strength.What was once curiosity slowly morphed to respect and adoration, eventually becoming enamored with the Warrior of Light's courage and selflessness. It started from wanting to show his gratitude for all that he has done for Ishgard, to merely wanting to spend time with him.very enamored with him and always showers him with praise?? SERFollowing the end of the war and the peace that the nation of Ishgard, Morgan was unsure if his feelings would ever be reciprocated, seeing as how Aymeric had his hands tied with the never ending work piling up on his desk thanks to the change that abruptly altered the course of Ishgard. It did not help that he himself was called to duty every so often, and so he decided to set aside his feelings for the Lord Commander as he set out on another adventure in a different part of the star.Despite both individuals constantly plagued by duty, they always make it a point to see each other as often as time permits, with Morgan traveling back to Ishgard and Aymeric always making time for him when his travels bring him back to the Holy See. From having a drink together, to sharing a hearty meal with each, simply catching up and exchanging stories during their time apart--it also gives the Lord Speaker a small reprieve from his work.Morgan knows he can always trust Aymeric with anything, and vice versa.
